If you’re reading this, you’re probably among the lucky ones who spend quarantine in a comfortable home.
How about the ones who don’t?
Help the most disadvantaged families in Serbia who are not as lucky as you during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Donate € 35 to feed 1 family and provide basic hygiene essentials!
It’s time to see the ones that the system doesn’t see!
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Project Invisible is committed to helping the most disadvantaged families in Serbia. In the light of the covid-19 crisis we decided to continue with our mission to ensure that those at the margin of the society can receive care and protection.
The initiative stems from a recognition that there are a number of families that are forgotten by the system – they do not receive any social benefits (or very little) and due to the extreme poverty conditions, they are often marginalized by the society, without friends and relatives to help them.
In these turbulent times, such as the outbreak of pandemic, these families are especially vulnerable. Those that had jobs were often working under the table or as contract workers in seasonal jobs, thus the economic lockdown puts them in a life-threatening position. Without social securities in place to protect them, savings and any other help, and often with multiple mouths to feed, these families are left at the mercy of these undignified conditions.
Therefore, we will focus our efforts and limited resources to help those families that the system does not see, which has been the motto of Project Invisible since its start in 2018.
The project will be executed with the help of Red Cross of Serbia.
The project will provide the following aid: All-necessities package. The package, worth 35 eur will contain the following:
- 2kg flour
- 1kg sugar
- 1kg beans
- 500 gr rice
- 2kg potatoes
- 1kg onions
- 1 kg sausages
- 1kg ham
- 100 gr coffee
- 500 gr pasta
- 1 bag soup
- 1 liter oil
- 2 soaps
- 0,5 liter dishwashing soap
- 1 kg
Criteria for receiving the one-time package:
- Families where both adults are unemployed
- Families that receive social aid of less than 100 eur or equivalent in Serbian dinars
- Families with two or more children will be given a priority
- Families where one of the family members has an underlying health condition will be given a priority
HOW WILL THE PACKAGES BE DISTRIBUTED AND TO WHOM?
Red Cross in the three initial cities: Kikinda, Požarevac and Belgrade will assemble and distribute the packages following the criteria above. Red Cross is a humanitarian organization committed to helping those in need. With their help we can ensure that donated funds end up in the hands of those who really need them.
HOW CAN YOU HELP:
The Association Invisible currently has funds for 50 basic packages of 35 euro each. We encourage everyone to donate and help us continue supporting the most disadvantaged families during this crisis.
