Annual Boat Party
In a now annual tradition, our club rallied for the fourth time to host a sensational boat party that would not only ignite a vibrant atmosphere but also drive funds for a good cause. On the 20th of May 2023, our adventure began as we cruised over De Nieuwe Meer, Amsterdam, blessed with glorious weather and a marvellous view of the Amsterdamse Bos. Picture this: a joyful symphony of laughter, thrilling conversations, and the pulsating beats of music filling the air accompanied by cold beer and tasty snacks.
The ticket revenues fuelled the boat’s voyage and were going to this year’s cause. In light of the devastating earthquakes in February earlier this year, the donations went to Syria for the people affected by them. Therefore, we had chosen the World Food Program as charity organisation with its Syria emergency programme, which specifically helps to provide food assistance and donations for Syria. This charity addresses not only the recent earthquakes but also the countries’ other conflicts such as economic decline, and climate change-related issues which are worth shedding light on.
We are very thankful to everyone who helped organizing our boat party and to everyone who joined to make it such an enjoyable day. With your help we were able to raise 114€ to support the WFP.

Padel Tournament 2023 Edition
Rotaract Club has kicked-off Spring with a Padel Tournament Fundraising Event
This year we gathered on the 18th of March at the Nike Headquarters in Hilversum to showcase our padel skills and use our sport enthusiasm to enjoy the game. Seven teams have participated in a friendly competition where the excitement of our members and friends was at its highest. We were so lucky about the weather – it felt like the very first sunny day of spring in the Netherlands. The atmosphere was terrific thanks to everyone’s input, powerful music, and fun exchanges on court and during the breaks. So many new talents have been discovered and, as a sign of recognition, the best team has benefited from our prizes – a t-shirt from and a discount at The Padel Outlet (http://thepadeloutlet.nl/) in Amsterdam. We were very thankful to the Padel Outlet for this contribution.
This full day of sun and movement have raised 391€, as the price for the entrance fee was counted as a donation. The funds were then transferred to a charity that helped with the damages caused by the earthquake in Turkey.

We take laughter seriously! We remember our breath-taking comedy event that had all of us gasping for breath. We believe in the power of laughter to bring people together while supporting a cause close to our hearts.
With good drinks and nice company, friends and members of our Rotaract club came together on November 28th, 2022 to have an enjoyable evening together and to make valuable connections. Het Amsterdamse Proeflokaal generously shared their venue with us to host four talented comedians. The night was full of jokes about multinational experiences in the Netherlands blended with situational and observational comedy. We had a blast!
We are very thankful to everyone who supported the evening – whether it was the lovely audience, the comedians who entertained the room brilliantly, the venue, and the organizers! With all tickets sold and donations collected, this event resulted in a final amount of 860€ raised. These funds were donated to Give Every Child A Future Foundation to deliver life-saving vaccinations against Rotavirus, HPV, and Pneumococcal disease in 9 pacific island countries.
Laughter, connection, and a shared cause brought us together that night, leaving us grateful for the support of everyone involved!
